Duchess Theatre location
The Duchess theatre is located on Catherine Street, an area of the West End that's particularly densely populated with theatres. Catherine Street is situated just off the Strand/Aldwych junction and has excellent public transport links.
By tube
- The closest tube stations are Covent Garden (for the Piccadilly line) and Charing Cross (for the Northern and Bakerloo lines)
- From Covent Garden: Head up Long Acre towards Bow Street. Turn right down Bow Street and carry on until you hit Russell Street. Then bear left and head straight down Catherine Street
- From Charing Cross: Cross the road at the traffic lights and head right up the Strand. Once you reach the Strand/Aldwych junction, then take the second left onto Catherine Street
By bus
- Buses to Aldwych: RV1, 6, 11, 13, 23, 59, 68, 87, 171, 172, 188, X68
By car
- The Duchess is inside the famous London Congestion Charge Zone, which applies from 7am until 6pm (except bank holidays) and costs £10 per day to drive in
- The nearest car park is the Covent Garden Parker Street car park. Parking costs £24
- Luckily the venue belongs to the excellent 50% off Q-Park Theatreland scheme, where theatregoers can save half the cost of parking. The nearest participating Q-Park car park is a five minute walk away in China Town, postcode WC2H 7PR
- Taking the Q Park Theatreland discount into account, 3 hours parking will cost £9 and 4 hours £12. All you need to do is get your parking ticket validated at the venue
