About The Duchess Theatre

The Duchess theatre is one of the West End’s smaller venues, seating just under 500 people over two levels. It's usually home to smaller plays and musicals, often for limited runs. The theatre also acts as a venue for transfers from regional theatres and Broadway itself looking for limited London runs of up to 8 weeks. Audiences love the intimate vibe of the theatre, where all the seating is relatively good with little or no visual obstruction – a rare treat in the West End!

A highly entertaining show.
We saw the Play that Goes Wrong 10 years ago just after it first came out and absolutely loved it. It's a whole new cast now of course but still just as funny and I enjoyed it every bit as much as the first time. Great family night out as the humour appeals to all ages.

If you like a good laugh
Going a week when school age children were in the audience because of holiday added to the fun. If you want to laugh like a child again with superbly done silliness, you will love this. We were visiting from Los Angeles, and thought it was so well done. They made the multitude of gags, physical pranks, and set mishaps come off beautifully. We talked after about how difficult it really must be to pull that all off. The audience both young and old thoroughly enjoyed themselves and were very engaged. I am so glad we chose this play to see. We can see others at home, but this felt like a real London theater experience. Thank you cast and crew!
